Currently residing in Tacoma, WA, I have been lucky enough to live with these little terror dogs called basenjis for over 20 years. My first basenjis was born in 2001. He escaped the back yard when he was less than 2 years old and was hit by a car. He survived with severe nerve damage to his front left leg. We tried to save his leg but he had other ideas and hated the leg so much he ended up chewing it off.

I showed and bred my second basenji Ty Lee, which created Spock, who was my first real coursing dog!! Ty Lee had acheived a lot in the Singles stake, but she wasn't fit to run with other dogs.  Since then I have had multiple top ranked basenjis in ASFA Lure Coursing, AKC Lure Coursing, NOTRA Racing and LGRA Racing. My first goal when it comes to dogs that stay in my breeding program is to obtain their AKC Dual Championship because I think form and function go hand in and hand and is very important to the breed, so everything else should just fall down from there. Sighthounds earn their Dual Championship when they complete their Conformation championship title and their Field championship title in Lure Coursing.  Whether or not they achieve their AKC Dual Championship is up to them. Dual Champions are the core of my breeding program.
